Wow, I am beyond behind on this old blog. Does anyone even read this thing anymore?
I literally have a backlog of thousands of pictures to go through, but just can’t quite motivate (or find the time!) to do it! But I wanted to let you know that yes, we’re still alive, and yes, this blog is still going, albeit at a much slower pace. Which I have a feeling will slow even more when baby #2 joins us in 16 weeks or so. Eeeek!
We had an amazing last few months and I’ll hopefully find time in the next few weeks to edit photos and give an update. But for now, I wanted to leave you all with a quote I came across. I don’t really do resolutions, but I loved the way this summed up a goal I think that we should all have in the new year.
“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.
Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re Doing Something.
So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.
Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it.
Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”
― Neil Gaiman
